This pizza comes together in a flash, making it the perfect solution for busy evenings when you want something comforting and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale

For the base:

  • 16 oz crescent dough sheets (2 standard 8-ounce containers)

For the filling:

  • 1.5 lbs lean ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
  • 2 (1 oz) packages taco seasoning
  • ¾ cup water

For the toppings:

  • 3.5 cups freshly shredded Colby and Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup quartered grape tomatoes
  • ⅓ cup thinly sliced green onions
  • Optional garnishes: chopped cilantro, sour cream, hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 375°F (or the temperature on the crescent roll package).
  2. Cook the meat: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat. Once cooked, drain the excess grease.
  3. Create the taco filling: Stir the taco seasoning and water into the browned meat. Bring it to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the meat.
  4. Build the crust: Unroll the crescent dough sheets onto a greased baking sheet or pizza pan. Pinch the seams together to form a single, sealed rectangle.
  5. Assemble the pizza: Spoon the seasoned meat evenly over the dough, leaving a small border. Sprinkle generously with the shredded cheese, then scatter the tomatoes and green onions on top.
  6. Bake: Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden-brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve: Let it cool for a minute, add any optional garnishes, slice into squares, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Serving: This pizza is perfect with a side salad or a bowl of chips and guacamole.
  • Tips & Tricks: Shredding your own cheese will give you a better melt. You can also brown the meat and chop the veggies ahead of time to make assembly even quicker. Feeling adventurous? Add black olives, diced avocado, or crushed tortilla chips on top!
  • Storage & Reheating: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10 minutes or in an air fryer at 325°F for 5-7 minutes for the best results.
